Duality

Description TEL

‘Duality’ explores the perception of space-time through a rigorous construction combining steel, mirrored glass, and light. The work is organized around a single luminous tube placed at the center of a symmetrical structure. A one-way mirrors create a reflection system that duplicates the light source infinitely in two opposite directions.

This principle produces a visual effect of mirrored light arcs, forming a virtual cylinder composed of around sixty repetitions. This play of duplication creates an immersive space, suspended between illusion and structure. ‘Duality’  invites contemplation of the singularity that generates multiplicity, and evokes a sense of time dilating within light.

Through this composition, the work materializes a double infinite loop, evoking the passage of time as a cyclical and multidirectional phenomenon. It functions as a condensed space-time: a stretched duration, a continuous vibration, where each spectator’s position alters the perception of the structure and its illusory depth. Time is no longer linear, but inscribed in a boundless perceptual depth.
