Composed of reflective surfaces and a luminous tube, the work takes place in a corner. It forms a full-height prism, whose main side, the only one visible to the viewer, acts as a window. This work is based on a paradox. By definition, an angle is the point formed by two intersecting lines. In architecture, it is the junction of two surfaces that closes and delimits a space. The closer you get to the corner, the tighter the space becomes, both physically and sensibly. Fabien Ficher’s installation contradicts this notion. In addition to questioning the sensory habits of the spectator, it generates the illusion of a point of view towards a luminous forest spreading in a limitless space.
